Thank you for visiting our pages. Gaushof is a small breeder of AHT's located just south of Chicago, IL. in the summer. In the winter time you find us in sunny Arizona City, located right between Phoenix and Tucson. We are also closely affiliated with our breeding partner, Bare Valley, in Phoenix, AZ.
Our Illinois home is on a farm and our Arizona home has a large yard, so our dogs have lots of room to run and play.
Our Bare Valley partner is our daughter. She is a vet tech and lends us excellent advice if needed.
We are a great family team. Husband George is mainly in charge of spoiling the dogs, snuggles, providing them with a warm lap, and sneaking treats whenever he can. He also babysits them when needed.
Wife Rita is mostly in charge of everyday care. As a retired vet tech, trainer and long time breeder, she is taking care of the “babies” and their offspring.
Daughter Bettina, and owner of Bare Valley, has her own breeding program and also gives great advice when it comes to health care of our four legged "Nekkids"
Our breeding dogs are our pets and live with us in our house. We carefully select our breeding dogs to make sure they are healthy and have good temperament. Before we allow our dogs to reproduce, we get them health tested and show them in conformation. Some of our dogs also perform in sports, such as scent work, drag racing or Fastcat, among others.
